Chemical Peel

A chemical peel a therapeutic treatment for a variety of skin conditions. The treatment exfoliates old cells to stimulate new cell growth, which results in more even skin pigmentation, helps unblock acne-prone skin, treat sun-damaged skin, reduce fine lines and leave a soft, rejuvenated complexion.  This simple treatment is performed in the clinic and involves washing and prepping the skin, applying the peeling agent, and application of the post-peel recovery cream and sunscreen.  

Skin may be slightly reddened for 4-24 hours, and will have moderate peel in two to three days' time.  Make-up can be applied next day, and moisturizers are required. 

TCA Peels

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are often thought of as very aggressive and producing substantial discomfort. PCA Professional™ TCA peels are very different from the standard. Our TCA solutions are blends formulated with many ingredients including lactic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), plumping phytohormones and kojic and azelaic acids to produce dramatic results without the discomfort and downtime associated with traditional TCA peels. Below are our three TCA formulations:

SENSI PEEL: For patients who want gradual lightening, but instant tightening.  This gentle solution is formulated primarily for ethnic skin, and other extremely sensitive skin types. Sensi Peel® will strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration.) This multi-faceted treatment also provides anti-inflammatory, anti-acne and anti-bacterial action, making it an excellent choice for helping calm rosacea, as redness and inflammation can subside substantially after treatment. 

ULTRA PEEL I: Ideal for sensitive skin types, effectively treats acne, pigment disorders, aging skin, smoker’s skin, and photo damaged skin. Ultra Peel® I exfoliating treatment is specially formulated to treat dehydrated maturing skin. Ultra Peel® I is also appropriate for many skin types, conditions and sensitivities, as it produces only a mild tingling sensation. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied. Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin.

ULTRA PEEL FORTE: This is a medium depth skin peel (doctor superivised).  Those with resilient skin who have more dramatic wrinking, sun damage and acne scarring are the most suitable candidates for this deeper and more active treatment. Ultra Peel® Forte will effectively treat aging skin, acne, pigment disorders, smoker's skin and photodamaged skin. This treatment is ideal for dehydrated and aging skin in need of rejuvenation.

 

AFA™ Clay Peel

AFAs Amino acid are antioxidants; they're exfoliants; they help retain moisture in your skin; and they do it all with little or no irritation.

A unique two-step procedure that includes:
1) an AFA rare earth clay masque that draws impurities from and prepares the skin for;
2) application of the specific strength AFA gel peel. This Peel provides exfoliation and powerful antioxidants with little irritation associated with peels of this strength.

Especially effective for fine lines, improving the tone and texture of the skin, and photo damaged skin.

Best results are achieved by a series of 6 peels administered every 2 to 3 weeks. There is no down time with this peel.

Unlike other chemical peels, can be used in tandem with other cosmetic procedures such as IPLs and non ablative lasers.
